Last week my husband and I took a trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. I’m obsessed with dinosaur bones, and I needed a little skeleton action in my life. I hadn’t actually been through the whole museum before, so I wasn’t exactly sure of what to expect. Little did I know what an amazing collection they have, even if some are only replicas. There are no words for the pure happiness I felt when I saw the T-Rex.
Just look at how happy I am! I don’t for the life of me understand why the security guy in the background isn’t as ecstatic as I am. Ha!
I had to check out the gift shop, of course! If ever there was a place for dinosaur skeletons, this would be it. I found a package of the cutest little tiny dinosaur skeletons. I immediately knew I wanted to make them into a necklace. My husband looked at me like I was crazy for a minute. He said, “I don’t know how you would make those dinosaurs into a necklace.” To which I replied, “Watch me.” When we got home, I got out my jewelry making supplies and got to work. I played around with the beads and decided on my layout. It took me awhile to get everything linked and hooked for assembly, but I could not be more thrilled with the finished product! I doubt I’ll run in to anyone else with the same necklace, don’t you? If nothing else, it is a great reminder of a great day!
