Michael Kors

There’s no denying it. Michael Kors is everywhere. Almost every place I go, I see those fabulous MK initials staring back at me. He’s dominating the market, almost to the point of oversaturation, yet I always find myself “oohing” and “ahhing” over each new collection. I was fortunate enough to attend a recent screening of Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s. Naturally, Mr. Kors was in it. In his segment, he spoke about how he was doing a window display in a boutique across the street from Bergdorf Goodman when he was approached by a woman that would change his life forever. She inquired about the clothing in the window. He told her that they were his designs. After that, she asked him to show his pieces to the buyers at Bergdorf’s. The rest, as they say, is history. It was the perfect storm of talent, luck, and connection. It is so inspiring to think that something with such small beginnings could eventually spawn something so gigantic. I am currently obsessing over all of the pink and gold accessories for summer. How about you?
