As most of you probably know, I’m usually the ‘Queen of Halloween.’ This year was no exception. I had my Halloween fun and loved every minute of it, but then something happened. I became……..’one of them.’ You know the type I’m talking about. I became one of those annoying people who jump the gun on Christmas. I used to hate those people. Hearing Christmas music before Thanksgiving used to make me lose my mind. I think it’s because it’s been a particularly rough year, and I’ve been down a lot. My husband and I decided we both needed some Christmas cheer to lift our spirits! This will also be our first Christmas together since we got married, so we were excited to use the ornaments we brought back from Disney World. We also made the rounds and hit up World Market, At Home, Target, Michaels, and Pier One scavenging for cool ornaments. Those made for some fun days out together, and it was shopping he actually enjoyed. We decided on multicolored lights and all kinds of random ornaments, the way our trees were when we were kids. The ornaments had to represent us in some way though, and I think we did a killer job of finding things that were our style. While you’re busy judging me, I’m sitting here under the beautiful glow of my sparkly Christmas tree happy, and I’m not one bit sorry I put it up so early. There’s just something magical and calming about a Christmas tree. I finally get it now, and I wish you all a happy holiday season!
