Let’s talk about STRESS! The world is crazy. I can barely stand to watch the news anymore. Reading the comments on almost any social media post triggers my anxiety. People are fighting over everything from politics to DIY kids crafts. All that extra hate has been really weighing down my soul. I’m trying to get my stress and anxiety down by making time for myself to meditate and be grateful for what I have, and not fixate so much on what I don’t. I want to clear away the negativity and stay in a ‘good vibes only’ state of mind. I’ve been working on de-cluttering my home and surrounding myself with things that are meaningful and special to me. The last few years though, I’ve started to get more into collecting crystals and gemstones and learning about the various properties they are supposed to possess. Whether you believe in the power of crystals or not, filling your home with beautiful eye candy and making it a ‘safe space’ where you can truly relax can’t be a bad thing. Some things I will try to keep in mind this week: 1. It costs nothing to be kind. 2. Comparison is the thief of joy 3. I choose happiness. Even as I type this, there are several things stressing me out, but I am still going to try, and for now, that has to be enough.
